Chronicles of Never Corpus Callosum Sunglasses

The ever cool Chronicles of Never first won us over with their unisex play on shapes, form and silhouette, proving us that down under indeed has a lot more to offer than glorious denim from Ksubi (even though the founder of Chronicles of Never was one of the founders of Ksubi). Then, the label went on to bring in a little more color for its previously pared down palette for Spring/Summer 2011, indicating a more experimental approach to its aesthetics. Apparently, prior to Spring/Summer 2011, the label has been dabbling in shades and the retro in its accessories for Fall/Winter 2010, with the release of these deep burgundy Corpus Callosum sunglasses.

The label’s shady business kicks start with heavyset square frames reminiscent of a wooden sculpture, and is an interesting take on balancing spacey futurism with earthiness. The lenses are a translucent light grey that doesn’t necessarily offer the incognito quality stars love in mirrored lenses, but it gives just the right amount of shade to offer a measured sense of intrigue and affability.

Probably the pair of sunglasses to kick all the Frogskins and Wayfarers off the cool podium, these are currently available at Revolve.
