Getting great selvedge denim doesn’t necessarily mean a trip to Okayama in Japan, and the great American heritage denim maker, Levi’s, knows just where to find the right denim fabric on the stateside– at Cone Mills in Greensboro, North Carolina. In the latest collaboration between Levi’s and Cone Mills, the duo celebrate the great American tradition of blues with a pair of limited edition 505 Selvedge Denim.

Cone Mills has been supplying denim makers with beautiful denim fabric since 1891, and is one of the oldest denim mills in the world. Heritage, combined with experience, made Cone Mills the leading expert in dying, weaving, finishing, and everything related with jeans. The fabric sourced for this collaboration is a super sturdy selvedge denim that will break in beautifully with wear. The silhouette picked for the limited edition jeans is the classic straight leg 505, introduced in 1967, which is easily one of the denim world’s ubiquitous favorite.

The new blues come in a limited run of 505 pairs (no prize for guessing why “505″), and are available exclusively at the new Levi’s concept store in the Meatpacking District. Each pair is individually numbered by hand. For those who might need some tailoring for these jeans, the new Levi’s store also offers an on-site tailor shop to make sure your blues fit perfectly.

After two successful runs, Michael Williams of A Continuous Lean is back with the third installment of the popular “The Pop Up Flea” in New York City. Since its first run, the highly curated “flea market” has been a chic gathering of the finest in menswear, and those who appreciate it. So, on the weekend of November 19, drop by The Pop Up Flea at downtown’s Openhouse Gallery, and pick up a chambray tie from The Hill-Side, a leather biker from Schott or a nicely tailored plaid shirt from the Gitman Brothers Vintage. So, convene with the stylish and the best of menswear-minds over a little bit of shopping, and get ready for some surprises that you will need to find out in person.

Aether Apparel has just released three accessories in time for winter jaunts and cold commutes in the coming months. In response to flimsy and underdetailed performance lines, Jonah Smith and Palmer West decided to launch AETHER. The LA-based brand spawned from their efforts to construct garments and items to satisfy their high standards for outdoor weekend activities. Their three releases shown here are more than a simple hat, scarf, and bag. The cashmere hat is constructed of a fisherman’s rib stitch for endurance, the scarf is constructed with contrasting colors which is also made of cashmere. The bag is quite impressive. Made of composite material found on the skirts of hovercrafts and a bottom that’s rubberized to resist the elements, the weekend bag also features adjustable straps and a tonal black design.
