OUTLIER x FEIT The Supermarine Bike Shoe

The cycling-inspired Brooklyn upstart OUTLIER has made a name for themselves quickly with unique products that are both uncompromising in quality and innovative in design. FEIT manufactures shoes of the highest quality, not to mention rare materials like Kudu skin. The two companies join forces for a footwear collection that will highlight the strengths and commonalities of both companies. For the first model, the Submarine, a material called Ventile is employed. Abe Burmeister of OUTLIER said that the material was invented by the British during WWII because of the need to keep their pilots dry when they would get shot down. The fabric is a lightweight cotton that is water and wind-resistant and is still being produced in limited numbers for Air Forces and Arctic expeditions. These aren’t available yet, but you can get the first crack at owning these by visiting the collaboration’s site. via SF
