The promotional hoopla surrounding the release of TRON is hitting all angles. We showed you the Dazed & Confused cover with Daft Punk, who is scoring the album, and you’ve probably seen quite a few other “x TRON” lately, but this helmet may be the most intricate of all the items that are releasing along with the film. Les Ateliers Ruby has crafted beautiful helmets for Karl Lagerfeld, Eley Kishimoto since 2004. For the TRON helmet, he chose to use a simple white mark up with navy detailing and a navy interior. If you really want to stand out in the ever-growing biker crowd, why not take it all the way with one of these TRON helmets? These will be available at colette in January, to coincide with the French release of the film.

One workwear brand who is bound to garner some well-deserved attention is France’s Bleu de Paname. They just teamed up with an American icon, PF Flyers. Limited to 380 for the high and low tops, these Rambler models embody both companies quite well. For PF, the silhouette hasn’t been compromised or overshadowed, and for Bleu de Paname, they added their signature materials–denim and moleskin. For this limited release, both materials were crafted specially for Bleu de Paname. Other interesting details are the contrasting white eyelet and white contrast stitching throughout. Even the outsole preserves the blue and white theme with a diagonal design that’s subtle enough to keep it interesting without going overboard. colette gets yet another exclusive release for these, so even international customers can have a crack at owning a pair.

It is easy for one to hop right over to the 501 and 505 when prompted to think about some Levi’s classics, but bottoms aside, Levi’s iconic Trucker Jacket is also one of the most revered and worn items through the ages, since it was first introduced in 1967. Recently, the Levi’s Trucker Jacket has received quite some attention from designers and influencers alike, and became the canvas for collaborations.
Since it was first introduced in heavy duty riveted denim, the jacket had undergone some transformations and were later constructed from corduroy, leather, canvas, then lined with wool or sherpa for cold weather, and some, are liberally customized by its wearer with cut-off sleeves or exceptional distressed patina. Then, when the jacket met new friends like Opening Ceremony, railroad stripes were added to the jacket; when teamed with Stussy and NEIGHBORHOOD, dark denim and leather were in order; with the southern gentlemen, Billy Reid, black wool became essential; and last but not least, Pendelton lent the Trucker Jacket its esteemed Native American-inspired Jacquard. Sure, there are more collaborations to name and more to come, but one thing is certain, the Trucker Jacket would not have received all these attention if it were not iconic, with every jacket designed and hand-built by craftsman in the USA.
