adidas SLVR – Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbook

Adi Dassler founded adidas in the 1920s with three principles: to make the best shoe for the sport, protect the athlete from injury, and create a durable product. adidas SLVR takes these principles of quality and function and applies to them to sophisticated menswear. SLVR offers streamlined, versatile clothing with more subtle branding than other adidas offerings. It takes the principle of protection and applies it to the planet by endeavoring to use sustainable materials to reduce its impact on the earth. The newest lookbook offers a minimalist preppy look for SS11. The classic varsity jacket is made new by the use of limited decoration: no pins, patches or footballs. Just the classic adidas stripes at the collar and hem. There are also striped tees, tipped cardigans, nylon jackets and relaxed yet polished cargo pants. This collection continues the adidas tradition of high quality products that serve their function, while also having a modern attitude, both in its aesthetic and its commitment to the environment.
