If last season collection for men was a celebration of yachting society of the Hamptons or French Rivera, this season was undoubtedly related.  In tweeds of olive drab and blazers with Nordic or argyle patterns, Junya Watanabe commemorated youth of the collegiate kind in his men’s collection fro Fall/Winter 2011.  Shown in a penthouse studio with skylights, the collection’s earth tone colors gave off even more radiances on the ambient lighting of natural sunlight.  Models strolled casual down the corridor made of audience member as if on campus of some Ivy League establishment.  But there wasn’t an ounce of staunchness nor arrogance, the clothing were approachable, even down right at street level like a streetwear inspired Fair Isle hoodie and Buffalo Check anorak.
