Japanese brand Bedwin and the Heartbreakers is often inspired by U.S. subcultures. They have just released their Spring/Summer 2011 collection, which is inspired by American surf culture. It certainly has a distinct SoCal feel, with preppy and punk touches. Suits have a relaxed cut and cropped pant lengths, giving them a young punk vibe, further dressed down with hooded t-shirts. Striped pocket tees, teal shorts, and windbreakers are more classic surfer, while cardigans and canvas D-ring belts are prep. Also on offer are chinos in khaki, black and red, floral-printed button downs, and leather jackets. T-shirts with the title of the collection, “Raspberry Beret”, round out the line.
